Pixel Islands ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices when using the Pixel Islands mobile app (the "App").
1. Information We Collect
a) Health Data (with your permission)
If you grant permission through Apple HealthKit, Pixel Islands reads:
- Step count data (for today and related progress calculations)
We use this data only to provide core app functionality (island growth/progress). We do not use Health data for advertising.
b) Purchase and Subscription Data
If you purchase Premium, we process subscription-related information via Apple and our subscription provider (Adapty), such as:
- Subscription status (active/inactive)
- Product/plan identifier
- Transaction-related metadata
We do not receive your full payment card details.
c) Basic Technical Data
We may process limited technical information needed to operate the App, such as:
- App version
- Device/OS information
- Basic diagnostic/error data (if enabled)
d) Analytics
We use PostHog to collect anonymous, aggregated analytics about how features are used. No personally identifiable information is collected. You can opt out by disabling analytics in your device's Settings.
2. How We Use Information
- Provide and improve Pixel Islands features
- Sync your premium access status
- Restore purchases
- Maintain app security and reliability
- Respond to support requests
3. HealthKit & Apple Health Data
Pixel Islands uses HealthKit solely to read your step count and power in-app progression. Health data is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with data brokers.
You can revoke Health permissions at any time in: Apple Health app → Profile → Apps → Pixel Islands
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with trusted service providers only as needed to run the App, such as:
- Apple (in-app purchases, App Store infrastructure)
- Adapty (subscription management and entitlement status)
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Adapty may collect and process additional information to provide subscription and analytics services (for example, device identifiers, IP address, app usage events, and purchase-related diagnostics). 5. Data Retention
We keep data only as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill legal obligations. You may request deletion of data associated with your account/device where applicable (see Contact section).
6. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access personal data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion
- Restrict or object to certain processing

7. Children's Privacy
Pixel Islands is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we'll take steps to delete it.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where our service providers operate. We take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protections are in place.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where required, provide additional notice.
